Kentucky Genealogical Society


The KGS Board of Directors consists of the President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer, Past President, and three Directors At Large.
Officers are elected in November in even-numbered years to serve two-year terms. See Bylaws for details about the nominations and election process.
Standing committees exist for Editorial and Publications, Finance, Membership, Program, Projects, Publicity, Seminar, and Technology. Other committees are created as needed.

Two annual seminars are held each March and August. The seminars feature nationally recognized genealogy educators sharing valuable insights for researchers. 
In-person or virtual programs are held throughout the year. See KGS Events for details about future program and registration information. 
KGS donated its genealogical collection to KHS on 8 May 1999, and that collection is now incorporated into KHS holdings in the Martin F. Schmidt Research Library at the Thomas D. Clark Center for Kentucky History.
